SAAA offers a range of industry-focused programmes designed to develop talent, enhance skills, and advance the air cargo profession in Singapore.
Project IMDD is a talent development initiative led by SAAA@Singapore as part of SAAA's industry programmes, and is supported by Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). It enhances the logistics skills of young talents in Singapore's air cargo and logistics sector through mentorship, hands-on training, and long-term career development.
Partnering with ITE and the five polytechnics, the programme pairs students with SAAA member companies through internships and work-study placements. By building skills competency before company-specific development, Project IMDD with CAAS's support attracts, develops, and retains the next generation of tech-savvy logisticians for the industry.
For Employers: SAAA member companies can attract and retain young talent through skills-based training and internship partnerships.
For Applicants: Students and young talents can gain hands-on logistics experience with career progression beyond traditional internships.

The Job Redesign Playbook for the Aviation was jointly developed by the Job Redesign Centre of Excellence at Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) and Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA), in collaboration with SAAA@Singapore and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). The playbook provides frameworks and tools for job redesign to enhance operational excellence and workforce resilience.
On 7 November 2025, the SAAA—IATA Air Cargo Day featured media coverage from AAIS, Payload Asia, Zao Bao, Channel 5 and the Shipping Gazette. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between SAAA@Singapore, SWDA, IHRP, and CAAS. The launch was conducted by Senior Minister of State Sun Xueling.
Building on the Aviation Job Redesign Playbook introduced in November 2025, we are pleased to unveil the Aviation Job Redesign Playbook microsite. Co-developed by Job Redesign Centre of Excellence at Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) and Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) in close collaboration with SAAA@Singapore, and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), the microsite transforms the Playbook into an interactive and accessible digital resource, making it easier for employers, individuals and industry stakeholders to access practical frameworks, case studies and job redesign tools. It also features an AI-powered chatbot that serves as a virtual guide, enabling users to navigate the microsite seamlessly and receive personalised recommendations in real time. Complemented by bite-sized e-learning modules that support self-paced learning and practical workplace application, the microsite will support the aviation sector in building a resilient, productive and future-ready workforce.
